Supergiant Games built Hades II as the sequel to Hades, swapping Zagreus for his sister Melinoë as she hunts down Chronos, the Titan of Time who dethroned their family. It left Early Access and hit 1.0 in 2025, keeping the same isometric action-roguelike combat and Supergiant's fully voiced, mythology-nerd dialogue. Melinoë fights with a spellbook this time: Cast and Channel draw on a Magick meter alongside her weapon's attack and special, changing how combat reads compared to her brother's game.

Time doesn't move at the Crossroads. Chronos controls it now, and the hub stays locked in one endless night until Melinoë heads back out on a run. Each escape pairs whatever Boons that run rolls, blessings from Zeus, Aphrodite, and the rest of the Olympian pantheon, onto one of six Nocturnal Arms picked up before she leaves. Which route you take shapes everything else: go through Erebus and you're funneled toward Chronos himself, or climb the Surface instead and run into Typhon and an entirely different cast of enemies. A death wipes that Boon build clean, but Arcana Cards, Keepsakes, and any weapon Aspects already unlocked carry over regardless.

Every Olympian grants a different Boon that reshapes Melinoë's attack, special, cast, or dash.

Gift Nectar to someone for the first time and you'll unlock their Keepsake.

Ashes unlock Arcana Cards, Grasp activates them, and only so many can be active at once.

Melinoë wields six Nocturnal Arms, and each one hides three Aspects behind separate unlocks.

Gods, allies, rivals, and everyone else Melinoë runs into outside combat.

What Charon stocks at the Well, paid for in Gold you bring back from a run.

The Codex only tells you an enemy's story once you've killed enough of it.

Every rite you can brew at the Cauldron in the Crossroads, one flavor line at a time.

17 ways to raise the stakes, measured in Fear instead of a difficulty slider.

Nine Hexes from Selene, and Magick is the only thing paying for them.

50 Steam achievements, each a save-file check, and 17 of them clear together with a Fated List prophecy.
Lay out a run before you take it. Pick a Nocturnal Arm and an Aspect, stack Boons, and the planner tracks your five slots, your element totals and every Duo, Legendary and Infusion the pairing brings into range. The build lives in the link, so you can hand it to someone.
