Ingot costs for tool and armor upgrades, and where to learn each furniture recipe
Data from build 25583279, updated
Crafting splits into two menus. Blacksmithing has 67: your tools, armor and swords, plus the Dragon-Forged Sword and the Engagement Ring. Woodcrafting has the other 1,102, all furniture, for 1,169 in total. Count each colourway as part of the same recipe and that drops to 583. The tool upgrade table comes first, because that’s where your ore goes. Armor, special forgings and furniture recipes sit in the folds below it. Open any piece for its ingredient list and where the recipe comes from.
Every metal tool, sword and armor piece costs 4 ingots and nothing else. An ingot is 10 ore, so one upgrade eats 40 ore of that metal. The Expert perks cut one ore per ingot: Copper Expert sits at Blacksmithing 1, Mistril Expert at Blacksmithing 60.
Each tier widens a charged swing, from 3x1 on Copper to a 6x9 block on Mistril, and adds damage to the axe and pickaxe. Tools unlock first in each metal, from Blacksmithing 4 for Copper to 28 for Mistril. Armor follows two levels later and the sword two after that. Time Sensitive through Time Sensitive IV shave the forge time.

Only 78 pieces are known from day one. Merri’s Stall at the Saturday Market sells 192, the biggest single source, and Balor’s Wagon 39. Museum rewards cover 231, scroll bundles 184, and Taliferro and Stillwell’s challenge boards 68. Renown levels give 63 more.
119 biome pieces only drop in the mines. Reclaimer (Mining 1, 15 essence) puts them in treasure chests, and Natural Beauty (Archaeology 30) adds dig spots as a second roll at the same list. Without one of the two, they never drop at all.
287 pieces are extra colours you learn alongside another recipe: unlock one Animated Waterfall and both versions are on the bench. The list below folds colours into one row, and each swatch opens that colour. Some colours swap an ingredient, so check before you commit a stack of ingots.
Ornamental (Farming 45) makes harvests drop faux-plant recipes, which is where most of the 106 perk recipes come from. Void Crafting (Woodcrafting 60) opens the Void set, built from Voidite. The top Woodcrafting recipe needs level 60.
